Organics

In order to keep up with diversion goals within cities and jurisdictions, Mid Valley Disposal does what it can to find innovative recycling programs to further reduce waste. With this came our next step in starting a green waste program for all of our cities. We have recently expanded this program to become a full organics program for disposal of all green waste and organics in available locations, further diverting waste. To find out what you can throw in your organics container, see below.

 

What can I throw in my green waste cart?

• Tree prunings (less than 4 ft.)
• Grass
• Natural plant & garden clippings
• Untreated Wood
• Fruits
• Vegetables
• Pasta & rice
• Eggshells, nutshells
• Bread & grains
• Coffee grounds & filters
• Meat & poultry

Please do NOT place the following items in your organics container:

• Treated wood
• Plastic bags
• Dirt
• Liquids
• Pet droppings
