Mid Valley Disposal Holds Ribbon Cutting for Latest Technological Advancement

Today, Mid Valley Disposal (MVD) held a ribbon cutting for the latest advancement to their Kerman Composting Facility. The installation of a food depackager was completed earlier this month, which will remove packaging from disposed food so it can be properly composted. MVD personnel, local officials, and local business owners all gathered this morning to celebrate the facility expansion, as well as recognize the positive environmental impact this technology will have on the Central Valley. Local food manufacturers will now have a sustainable way to discard of unused and inedible food. This technology is the first of it’s kind in the region, and will distinguish the Central Valley as a state-wide leader in food waste disposal.
